Ethics in Real Estate

As a real estate investor, you should promise to adhere to a strict code of ethics in conducting any and all activities related to the purchase and/or sale of foreclosure properties.

Always remember homeowners in foreclosure are in distress. This is not time to take unfair advantage of them. In some businesses, simply doing what is legal may be good enough. But in foreclosure investing, it is crucial to have an ethical standard that goes above and beyond the legal requirements. The guiding principle of ethics comes from the Latin "primum non nocere," meaning first do no harm.  In other words, create a win/win situation. By adhering to strict ethical guidelines you will earn their trust.  By establishing trust you'll build a long-term business model based upon helping people get rid of their real estate and saving their credit.
